After deciding that maybe we shouldn't be 21 and scared of horror movies... Tania and I rented the trilogy of George Romero Zombie movies.

Bad Idea.

FUCKING RETARDED (and not in the good way)... Night of the Living Dead was pretty cool for an older movie, I actually enjoyed it, but Dawn of the Dead was the worst damn thing ever. Yes, being locked inside a mall completely safe would be a good thing, because you could have whatever you wanted... but in a zombie movie, I dont expect 3/4 of the movie to revolve around how cool it is to be in a mall! I want flesh eating and brains exploding! Day of the Dead was on the meh side of things... not great, but not horrible. The gore effects were sweet... Intestines should be ripped out in every movie. The thing I dont understand is that the big problem with these people, is that they are coming back to life after they are killed by zombies. The zombies in question are human looking with a few mangled bits on them, but still, you could tell it was a person. HOWEVER... when the zombies kill someone, they rip them into a million pieces and eat their guts! If it was an army of marching TURDS coming after the heroes of the movies, I'd understand... but it's not!

I'm probably just uncultured or something...

Here's a picture update. I'm going to put it behind a cut for everyone's enjoyment.

my friend erik went to toronto and bought me a wrestling mask there. the reason for this is that when the two of us "worked" at nemak, we'd spend most of our time looking at cool masks and ninjas online, then we'd send each other the pictures. it was the best way possible to make $15 an hour.

There's a sweet duck living in our backyard underneath one of the bushes near our pool. The only thing that sucks about it is that the duck has a need to break out into quack attacks at 2 am every night... with the weather being a bit warm right now, i've been leaving my bedroom window open to allow some cool air in. i'm cool while sleeping, but this also allows the duck to wake me up pretty much every night. its ok though, because she's going to have cute baby ducks and i'm going to name them. straight up.

instead of going to the bars downtown and drinking and dancing, tania and i have been going and just looking at people and having coffee at random places... sure, it might sound creepy, but its cheap entertainment for creeps like us, so suck it.

my newest and favorite hobby is squash. here's a little reminder to get out of the way when people are trying to hit between the legs jump shots... i took the ball right in the arm and it left a nice welt for a few days... its ok, chicks dig bruises... and squash players.

today we went to great lakes crossing and i got a sweet new pair of shoes. i've already been lectured by numerous people to not wear them without socks because my feet will stink, but screw that... i like stinky feet, and so should you. woo hoo!

Alright, so back in OAC I wrote a song that could probably be considered the greatest song of any genre of all time... I dont mean to be arrogant, but seriously. Everything else is shit compared to this song. Today, while digging through stacks of CDs, I found the only known recording of this gem, and consider this your lucky day, because I'm posting the mp3.

Spoon your Banana

The lyrics are probably too deep for most of you... <lj:music>Armor for Sleep</lj:music>

So reading week has come and gone, and it's back to school on monday... damn. I had big plans of studying and getting ahead in classes, but I haven't even opened a single book yet.

Tania and I had a wonderful trip to toronto last weekend. Sleeping in a bed with someone else was a neat experience, except for being kneeded in the spine and shoved out of the bed by a sleeping zombie. We also were introduced to a drunk old couple in the swimming pool who apparently had taken a fancy to Tania, and decided the best way to show this would be for the woman to show us her small, saggy boobs. After that, swim time was over.

We also got to ride the subway and shop on Queen and Yonge Street. We didn't buy a lot of things, but we got to do a lot of walking together, plus a lot of staring at people together. Thjngs I've learned from this trip - If you think you're getting the silent treatment, make sure you look at the person, because there's a chance they may have randomly fallen asleep for 45 minutes... sometimes doing nothing with someone you love is the most enjoyable... don't eat in arabic restaurants that are on side streets, unless you want to see a possible shooting or jihad, or what ever the hell it is... finally, learn your subway maps inside and out... so you don't get stuck walking 400 miles. oops.

Last night, I went and saw yellowwood for the second time in 2 weeks... Those bastards are easily the best band in Windsor and if you haven't seen them yet, do yourself a favour and pay the 4$ cover charge to see them wherever they play next, because eventually you're going to have to pay $35 US to see them at state theater.

This week was quite a musical highlight... I got the new armor for sleep cd which is amazing... it's a story about someone dying and coming back as a ghost and seeing what life was like without him there. I also got the new mars volta cd which is just insane. I can't wait till they come in concert, that's going to be one of those life changing concert experiences.

The rest of the week will be spent painting my room a dark shade of blue, which i'm quite excited about... no more wolf print on the border!

Tom Brady won the MVP with 145 Yards Passing and a key rushing touchdown late in the 4th quarter. Terrell Owens DID play, and made a minor impact, catching 4 balls for 52 yards, and almost bringing in a touchdown with 2 seconds left in the game, but couldn't get his feet in bounds.

Hopefully the real game is this entertaining!

I know its been a long ass time since I did a decent update...
Things that have happened in the last month:

Lost my sweet office at work and had to move to a cubicle, which is still pretty sweet

Played 8 shows in the month of November... pictures are below

Kicked everyone's ass at Trivial Pursuit 90's edition

Continued to have best girlfriend ever... even though her trivial pursuit skills are a bit raw. Don't worry, you'll get better over time

Watched girlfriend fall madly in love with Jude Law, who I am now planning to kill

Watched girlfriend get HELLA good at paint brush drawing, see example below...

Overall, no complaints. I'm looking forward to getting back to school in January, but work has been fantastic this semester, I think I'll actually miss it when I'm done.

I Promise to update on a more regular basis.

Today I beat my dad at golf for the second week in a row, and now I'm apparently not allowed to put my clubs away for the season for at least one more week... even though its so damn cold out that you can barely grip a golf club.

Besides that, today was halloween. I got dressed up as a white trash type guy, Tania was an 80s work-out girl and my sister was a dead prom queen. We gathered in the living room and handed out candy to the neighbour hood children.

Here are our beautiful pumpkins

The dead prom queen and the worker- outer.

a close up of tania's costume. notice the high quality of the spandex.

Tania preparing for vigorous handing out.

us.

this is a bobby brown t-shirt i found at value village yesterday. i was so incredibly shocked to find this gem.

This is tania laying waste to her pumpkin. you're not seeing the end result, but the pumpkin has just been thrown, and is about to smash all over the road.

I think this one's self explanatory.

Last night, I got home from a football road trip at about 2:30 in the morning. After unpacking all the therapy equipment, I head home. I was driving along the EC Row, when someone decided to enter the expressway, and come across 2 lanes for really no reason. The problem with this was that I was in the second lane. I slammed on my breaks and spun my car completely around, missing the guardrail by inches. Luckily, it was 2:45 in the morning, so no one was right behind me to slam into my car. I finally got home, but didn't sleep until about 4:30, because I was a bit wired after almost dying.

Last night I had a particularly good time at the alexisonfire/moneen/hopesfall/lola ray/the reason show. It was particularly nice to see lola ray again, because they're a very good pop band.

I noticed something very interesting in tania's crowd behaviour last night though.... Earlier in the day, I worked the University football game (which Windsor lost... fuck Western). When watching Tania, I noticed that she moves through the crowd the same way that a running back does. I have some pictures now to demonstrate.

Here you can see an example of the crowd. At point 1, Tania notices a small hole, gets a block from a random mosher and makes a break for it.

1. Tania uses this block and rapidly cuts up field for a big gain.

2. Tania then issues a stiff arm to another mosher, embarassing him and tossing him to the ground. she makes a few more spins and dodges and scoots up further into the crowd. Now she's only feet away from the barrier and her goal.

3. At this point, the moshers think they've got Tania wrapped up, but no. She throws down a MASSIVE juke, which breaks two of the moshers ankles, and then she's got nothing but open field ahead of her.

4. SHE..... COULD......GO.......ALL........THE........ WAY!!!! and she does! Its a touchdown for Tania, and she's now at the barrier!

Its really quite impressive. Next show, I think I'm going to set her loose and go up stairs so I can watch this spectacle from a better angle. Now only if the University team could manage to do a bit better...
